Overview
Game Review is a Chrome extension that helps users save supported archived game videos or selected clips that they own or have permission to download for offline review. The media-processing workflow occurs locally in the user's browser.
Information Game Review accesses
When you invoke Game Review on a supported page, the extension may access the active page URL, visible game and team metadata, available recording metadata, archived media playlist URLs, media segments, and preview media needed to provide the requested download or clip feature.
Game Review also stores extension preferences and temporary download state locally in Chrome. Large video jobs may use Chrome's Origin Private File System as temporary local workspace while an MP4 is being prepared and verified.
How information is used
The information above is used only to provide Game Review's user-facing functions: identifying supported recordings, showing recording and clip information, generating preview frames, preparing MP4 files, verifying finished media when enabled, saving user-requested downloads, and showing optional completion notifications.
Data sharing and developer-operated servers
Game Review does not send game video, page metadata, browsing activity, or clip selections to a developer-operated analytics, advertising, or media-processing server. Game Review does not sell user data and does not share user data with data brokers or advertising platforms.
Network requests are made to the supported website's media infrastructure as necessary to retrieve media that the user has requested to process.
Authentication
Game Review does not directly read or store your passwords, cookies, or authentication tokens. When a supported website requires an existing authorized browser session to retrieve media, Chrome may include existing session credentials in requests to that website's media infrastructure. Those credentials are not exposed to a developer-operated server.
Retention
User settings remain in Chrome extension storage until changed or the extension is removed. Temporary media workspace is used to complete user-requested jobs and is cleaned up by the extension as part of its normal workflow. Finished videos are saved through Chrome's download flow.
Advertising and profiling
Game Review does not use accessed information for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Game Review's use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data access is limited to what is necessary to provide and improve the extension's disclosed single purpose.
Children
Game Review is a general-purpose browser utility and does not operate a developer-hosted account or user-data service. Users are responsible for handling downloaded media in accordance with applicable permissions and laws.
Changes to this policy
If Game Review's data practices materially change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before those new practices are introduced.
